En route to Newport, RI prior to the Transat New York – Vendée, the IMOCA 60 Maître CoQ struck an object underwater, damaging one of its foils. Carbon Ocean Yachts was called upon to undertake the repair in time for the 29 May start of the race. Working around the clock for five days, the team successfully completed the work, with the assistance of Temple Machine’s welding crew. Maître CoQ and skipper Jérémie Beyou went on to win the race in 9 days, 16 hours and 37 minutes.
