Carbon 82 Builder’s Comments

Carbon Ocean Yachts secured the contract to complete the Carbon 82 for a European client in late December 2009.

The client had experienced contractual challenges with the previous builder and as such sought alternatives to complete the Carbon 82 design.

Carbon Ocean Yachts secured the contract after the client carried out an extremely detailed review of submissions from builders in the UK, Italy and New Zealand.

The depth of experience at Carbon Ocean Yachts in detailed composite work, systems design and installation, deck hardware installation, structural components building and installation has offered the client an extremely high level of comfort that the project will be completed in accordance with all the Architects and Structural Engineers drawings.

Carbon Ocean Yachts has utilized all of its project management skills and knowledge with the Carbon 82 project to develop a tight but realistic time line for the construction and sailing trials components of this project. Finally, the financial requirements of this project demanded a strict budget with weekly updates to the client. Carbon Ocean Yachts has “an open book policy” and as such takes an honest and straight forward approach to all its projects.

The Carbon 82 will be launched in September 2010.

Carbon Ocean Yachts is currently pricing a new project for an undisclosed client.
